About Rosie Posie Teatime

Hello, I’m Julie,

the owner of Rosie Posie Teatime.

I grew up in England where a cup of tea is a way of life. We turn to tea in good times and bad…a cup of tea really does make everything feel better!

I’ve always loved the traditions associated with tea, especially the fun and elegance of an English tea party. The food alone is delicious, decadent and Oh! so English! Warm scones with oodles of jam and cream, dainty finger sandwiches, sweet cake treats, all topped off with a glass or two of bubbly and, of course, a pot of steaming hot tea.

For me, a tea table dressed with exquisite vintage English china adds a real sense of occasion to any tea party celebration. The whimsy of soft pastel shades, delicate patterns, florals reminiscent of an English country garden and intricate gilt borders, fill me with happiness. It’s such a pleasure to sip tea from a beautiful tea cup from a bygone era, hear the clink, clink of fine bone china and have tea poured from a tea pot which is an entire century old.

Thanks to some wonderful dealers in the UK who scour the land for vintage teatime treasures, I’ve been able to curate a stunning and extensive collection of fine bone English china which includes pieces from Regency to Royal Albert and Coalport to Colclough. I look forward to sharing my collection with customers in the San Francisco Bay Area and bringing you all the fun and glamor of a vintage English tea party.

Julie
